Our First Communion program provides religious education to all children and adolescents in public education which includes: Sacrament Preparation for Reconciliation (Confession) and for their First Eucharist (Communion) in English, Spanish, and Samoan. There is a fee for the religious education classes, however, no student will be turned away due to an inability to pay. Fees may be paid in full at the time of registration, or monthly payments may be made to cover the costs. All materials used in the program comply with the General Directory for Catechesis and provide a comprehensive presentation of doctrine, scripture, morality, prayer and sacraments. Supplementary material such as videos, worksheets, bibles, and music are also used. Classes are held from September throug May. Calendars are available at the beginning of each year.
The Religious Education Sacramental Preparation Program is a two year formation process for baptized children from the 1st grade and up. A student must have the equivalent of at least two consecutive years of formation and discernment to be considered a sacramental candidate.
