A Reflection from Archbishop José Gomez:
My Dear Sisters and Brothers,
Jesus taught us that in loving our
neighbors — especially the poorest and most vulnerable of
our brothers and sisters — we will find him. And when we
find Jesus we find God.

As Christians, we are called to a faith
in Jesus Christ that we prove every day in works of love and
works of mercy. We love the God we cannot see in our
brothers and sisters whom we can see. Through our love for
others we bear witness to the reality of God’s love for all
of his children. Through our love, we become instruments of
God’s love at work in our world.
Together in Mission is a beautiful
expression of our love for Jesus and our solidarity with the
poor. Your contributions provide essential resources to
parishes and schools that are most in need in our great
Archdiocese of Los Angeles. Through you and your
contributions to Together in Mission, the love of God is
alive and at work in the lives of countless families in our
most disadvantaged neighborhoods and communities.
Through the intercession of Our Lady of
the Angels, I pray that our good God will bless you and your
families with every grace and gift in abundance.
I ask you to please give generously to
this vital program, which strengthens the family of God and
makes his love and truth real in our great Archdiocese.
